October Update

We have now finished our first set of Tri-Conferences and each student has identified individual learning goals to work towards for the coming months.  Well done!

It is also time to ramp up our preparations for this year's UNICEF fundraising campaign.  Once again students are hand making hemp and bead bracelets and  key-chains to sell to students and staff to raise money to support UNICEF in its efforts to make education available to children all over the world.  This supports our Social Studies work around "rights" and is a great connection to global citizenship.

Strong Beginnings

Thanks to all the parents who came out to the school for the "Meet the Teacher" evening. It was great to see everyone and have a chance to touch base about what our classroom community looks like and share our learning targets for the year.
The next few days will provide us with the time to complete individualized reading and math assessments to facilitate effective planning to promote learning for all students; and improve overall curriculum implementation.

Enjoy the extra time with your families this weekend!
